I have a great opportunity to tell you about! And it happens to break up a string of reviews nicely! 😉 Lutheran author Katie Schuermann and her team at He Remembers the Barren (HRTB) are hosting a Lenten writing contest!
Emmanuel Press is the sponsor. Anyone with a US shipping address may enter. Each submission must reflect, in 800 words or less, on Psalm 40:1.
“I waited patiently for the LORD; He inclined to me and heard my cry.”
AWESOME!
Entries must be submitted by email to katie@katieschuermann.com by noon on March 25, 2019. Submissions will be judged on quality and content by both Emmanuel Press and Katie’s HRTB team. (No specified form or style is required.)
The prize is a museum-quality giclée print (14.7″ x 18″) of artist Edward Riojas. Specifically, it will be of the cover art for the second edition of He Remembers the Barren:
Winner will be announced on the He Remembers the Barren website on Easter Sunday. One runner-up will also be published the following week.
Here’s the official announcement which I’ve summarized:
Get to writing, folks! One month to try for a good submission! 🙂
Meanwhile, remember these quality books, AND, rumor has it . . .
Katie Schuermann, of the Anthems of Zion series, is writing again! I don’t know what, but I’m excited! 😀 Woo hoo!
