I’m really pleased to hear that there is a new book, just released by CPH, called Weary Joy: The Caregiver’s Journey. In it, Lutheran author (with a PhD in Educational Psychology), Kim Marxhausen addresses dementia in the ways caregivers need to receive it: short chapters with both pragmatic information and prayers.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I hope I soon will. “Weary Joy” is a very powerful image.
Kim Marxhausen has also published Paper, Paint & Printing: Art Projects for Bible Learning and It Only Takes a Spark: 40 Active Faith-Building Talks.
Meanwhile, don’t forget about my new kind of giveaway for The Oracles and the Jewels! Go here to read my review and to enter yourself as well as a writer or pastor you admire. 🙂
