I am thrilled to (learn and therefore) announce that there will be a WELS Women Writers’ Conferences April 24–25, 2020. Yay!

Connections
I love connections. Themes. Hints and foreshadows. The difficulty, however, is that in religious writing how do you know what is really a connection and not a figment of an over-eager imagination?

Original 14th century English
Ok. This is too cool not to pass along: there is now an app which reads you Chaucer out loud in original 14th century English!

Misc.
I’ve been reading Post-Christian obsessively and then, today, all of a sudden I couldn’t find it! I hate it when that happens! And when I say obsessively, I mean it. I actually started the book over again, from the very beginning, so I could take more thorough notes! (I’m thinking about putting together a study guide for it—would that be crazy?) Anyway, so in lieu of writing time today, at least I finally discovered it! 🙂 And with a light dusting of snow descending on my small Oklahoma town, I’ll bid you goodnight without a more significant post for the morrow.
I will, however, offer you a link to a neat little article on music and how long it takes for music to help you to relax or feel happier. 🙂
Happy reading & writing!

A Valentine’s Day to Remember
Last December I was excited to share a Lutheran author I’d found: Aretta Gordish. You can read that post here. Well, today I’m doubly happy to report that just at the end of January, she published another novel in her Our Life in Snowflake Falls series. 🙂 Not only that, but A Valentine’s Day to Remember, that same new release, is temporarily free for Kindle!

Western Civilization
Sometimes all I want in the world is to boil down western civilization so I can give every bit of it to my children. And then I want to add in awesome parts from other parts of the world, too.
