Antidotes for Drama

What are antidotes for drama? Trust. Patience. Love. Honestly? Unconsciousness. Sleep is looking pretty good to me these days.

What else can you think of? I do love a good book. I played extra piano yesterday. There’s been so much on my heart lately. Too much to do. Too many ways to turns.

But at least there are still things well worth pouring one’s heart out for. So let’s remember that. 🙂

Today my middle daughter turns 9. We’ll have sour cream scones for breakfast and apple pie following schwarma for dinner. I’ll cut butter, shred cucumber for tzatziki, and spend time with my family.

Maybe today the only drama will be between my daughters.

Theological Dictionary of the New Testament

I shared this on Facebook because it really is a great deal. Christianbook.com is having a sale. Now, they almost always have sales, but if you’re interested in the 1o volume set Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, this is the sale! 79% off! Only $149.99.

Is it explicitly Lutheran? No.  Will you find it as a common resource in LCMS pastor offices? Yes. It’s published by Eerdmans.

Troll Valley

Let’s start the New Year right with a review of a great Lutheran-written book! Lars Walker hit it out of the ballpark for me with Troll Valleya book published in 2012 described by one of my good friends as the Great American Novel.
