Today I thought I’d share some free Advent music for your enjoyment. They’re mostly playlists on Youtube or Spotify, but here they are for your enjoyment.
Youtube:
Here’s a link to 90 minutes of choral CPH music for Advent.
Here’s a link to an Advent and Christmas playlist, again by CPH.
Here are the tracts to a beautiful Advent Christmas Epiphany CD.
Lutheran Songbird Project: Advent.
Lutheran Warbler’s Advent.
Spotify:
Aaron’s Advent (ha haaa, it’s subtitle is “Actual Advent (Not Christmas) Songs Spanning Most Genres) (over 24 hours)
Advent at Ephesus (48 minutes)
Waiting Songs (35 minutes)
You can also check out Liturgical Folk’s (Anglican) Advent music here, if that interests you. I’ve only just started to hear about them.
If you have other (Lutheran) Advent playlists to share, please do.
PS. You know the largely-unspoken adjective rule in English: opinion-size-age-shape-color-origin-material-purpose noun? I want to know where Lutheran fits in! It isn’t necessary origin, but I can’t quite wrap my head around it. Case in point: is it Lutheran Advent music or Advent Lutheran music? I fear I join the tootsie pop owl in seeking to know what the world may never know.
