Today I review Jody Hedlund’s book, Never Leave Me, which is the second book of the Waters of Time Series.

Great book in one of my favorite series by Jody Hedlund. I know that time travel romance isn’t for everyone, but both eras struck me really well, I liked the characters, and I enjoyed how the author wove things together.

Heartwarming and encouraging, this was a great summer read.

The main character in this book is quite a bit different than the last one. I especially enjoyed the main male character. I found it poignant how the story followed two people who were so alike in some ways: hindered but hopeful, reserved but giving and merciful.

I didn’t get the kid-thing at the end. Still, this was a book I looked forward and enjoyed as soon as I could. 🙂

There were a few characters with “loose ends.” I’m not sure whether there will be a third book in this series, but I’d enjoy seeing a historical fiction series spin off of this one to follow those characters.
