Mother Color
You have to have a brain to write, and a good idea is what takes words and elevates them to a work. So today I get to introduce you to a somewhat less conventional book: something fun just in time for Mother’s Day.
You know how adult coloring books are increasingly common, even somewhat trendy?Well, a nice Lutheran by the name of Emma Speers recently started the company Whimsical Wee and what has she produced? A hot-of-the-presses, 20 page, original, fairy tale-themed coloring book designed for an adult and child to color face-to-face together, spending time enjoying color, whimsy, and each other.
In other words, a fun, inexpensive Mother’s Day gift! A little mother color may be just the thing.

Want to work on your structure? Want to solidify your arguing lines of defense? Want to jot something down and feel a little free affirmation? Continue reading

Lutheran Novelists
My inner novelist remains within, at this point, but just the other day I overheard a great testament that many of us are born to weave fiction! My seven-year old was skyping with her six-year old cousin, and my niece was telling mighty tales, fraught with intricacies. Ladies and gentlemen, there are Lutheran novelists among us. But, when they’ve grown up and actually written their novels, how can we find them? Are they hidden away in a sea of different publishers and Amazon? No longer! I am pleased to present you with . . .

Deep-Seeded
The human drive to express is a deep-seeded one. Or should I say, “deep-seated?” The truth of the matter is that that human drive of ours is often in a hurry, thinks for a second, and misspeaks, mistypes, and misses . . . in this case the deep! Although deep-seeded could make sense, the phrase with historical connotations is deep-seated.
