It’s a release day for Lutheran author & poetess Madelyn Rose Craig! You may remember her from her book, Names, Nations, and the New Testament or from her awesome blank journals, but today we celebrate her book of poetry, Where the Moss Grows Old. Isn’t that a lovely image already?

Weekly Books of the Bible
This morning I finished up a project. 🙂 That feels good! It’s a homeschool schedule for high schoolers that may also interest you and other adults. Basically, I put together a schedule for reading entire books of the Bible once a week.

Himnario Luterano
Have you all heard that Himnario Luterano has been released! This Lutheran hymnal in Spanish has been in process for 14 YEARS! AND IT’S PRINTED! Huzzah!
Of course, let’s pray that shipments get where they need to be. Pray that it finds its way into many hands, and that Christ uses it to seep people in His Word!
This just makes me so happy! I know other hymnals are in the works for other languages, but this one is done! Thank you, Jesus, and all your servants who worked for this!!!
I have no idea how to get one, but these websites may be helpful:
- https://hymnary.org/hymnal/HEL21939 (I think the predecessor)

God is with You All the Time
God is with you all the time. Yet not everyone realizes that! Thankfully Lutheran author Cheryl Pickett has written a picture book so that children can rest in the assurance that God is, indeed, with us all the time.

Storycraft
It was a sad moment, seeing a new title now available from Lutheran author Walter Wangerin Jr., who died last August or so. Still, one especially worth mentioning here: Storycraft: The Art of Spiritual Narrative.

Nothing Else Matters
When you hear that nothing else matters, what do you think of? I can think of a few things, to be honest, but Lutheran author & apologist Nancy A. Almodovar has written another book to answer precisely that question: Nothing Else Matters: How the Resurrection of Jesus Changes Everything.

Wittenberg ’04
Last year I posted about Lutheran author and historian Warren R. Schmidt. (Go here to see that post about two of his previous books.) As timing would happen, I missed the publication of his third book, Wittenberg ’04: Coming of a Railroad, so I’m rectifying my omission now. 🙂

Augsburg Confession Guide for the Perplexed
This new release strikes me at once as hilarious and brilliant: Mark Mattes—whom you may know from Law & Gospel in Action, Martin Luther’s Theology of Beauty, or other writings—has just published another book through 1517, The Augsburg Confession: A Guide for the Perplexed.
