This blog is for writing-related stuff, which, to me, includes reading, too. So, although I did not blog about the CRAZY LARGE number of non-Lutheran homeschooling resources about the Reformation anniversary that flooded my gmail inbox, I did find one additional-to-CPH Reformation children’s book I particularly enjoy: Katharine von Bora: The Morning Star of Wittenberg.

Reformation Mini-Play
Free resource time! Especially suitable with the Reformation Anniversary soon to arrive! It is a fun little tool for your Reformation celebration with your church family: a Reformation mini-play. It’s only about 12 minutes. Personally I thought my family and a few other volunteers might work it up for Reformation Sunday during our Sunday school opening time. It’s not loaded down with props or anything. It’s written for children and narrator, and it can be either read or memorized. AND, it’s written by none other than Rev. Hans Fiene of Lutheran Satire!

The Reformation by Dr. MacKenzie
One of many celebratory books coming out this month releases today: The Reformation by Rev. Dr. Cameron A. MacKenzie. I think very highly of Dr. MacKenzie, who teaches at Concordia Theological Seminary, and it looks to be a beautiful, coffee-table worthy book, chock full of tidbits, sidebars, images, and maps.
